Photograms

Throughout the process of producing a typeface we looked at various ways in which it could be approached. One unusual way was to make photograms out of apertures.
A photogram is a way of making an image without a camera but using an enlarger as a light source and photographic paper.
I created my apertures by using card and cutting out positive and negative spaces to create letters. Here are some examples of my apertures and photograms i created...
